This site was started as a dedicated to the home we had in Zootenvaal on the Coral Bay side of St John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It use to be available as a short term rental. We sold the house in November of 2009. I am leaving this page as a tribute to the house we built and the love that went into building it. More on that later.

This is how we described the house to those thinking about enjoying her beauty:

I’d like to invite you to come experience true island living. You’ll be staying next to a historic ruins with stone cistern and wall remains. Hike on the properties five acres to Hammock Hill and Black Rock Sanctuary where you’ll find a huge two story rocks sticking out of the ground. The driveway is easy access (flat) from the main road and a 10-minute walk to Coral Bay with all its quaint shops and restaurants.

This Caribbean style home has a large bedroom on the main floor. Sink into 700 count cotton sheets nestled in the beautiful Bali carved teak king-size bed. An extra private loft sleeping room has a queen bed for two. The loft also has a living/TV room. There is a full open kitchen/dining area with a partial wrap around porch. The lower floor has another large bedroom/bath. This large room has a futon couch/bed in addition to the queen bed.

Come for a holiday! The air is fresh, the breezes are plenty and the views are inspiring.
